Store-bought fabric allows you to choose specific colors, while T-shirts and old sheets allow you to recycle materials. Even stained items make usable strips; you won't be able to see most stains once you've turned the strips into a rug. Cut the fabric with scissors or invest in a rotary cutting wheel to make the job faster.

This is just a method for using a toothbrush handle as a tool. The old toothbrushes had hole in handle, but now I quess some use a plastic handle from a spatula. If that doesn't work go to utube search under toothbrush rag rug. LauraJaneV82 has the best instructions.
